Hidden Lake Care Center Turns 10
Hidden Lake Care Center and Retirement Apartments has a formula for success! It's turning 10 years old and has added several additional along the way.
In this time of corporate mergers and bankruptcies, it's nice to see an organization build from a 60-bed care center into a full-blown multi-service community. That's why Hidden Lake will be hosting a 10-Year Anniversary Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, April 26.
" We're thrilled with the growth of our business," said Rae Letterman, administrator at Hidden Lake. "Recognizing the increased need for retirement and care facilities across the nation, we've stayed true to our commitment to older citizens and to giving back to this community."
Developed by Stratford Development Corporation in 1992, Hidden Lake was but the start of this commitment. Adding to the mix of providing the best health and quality care for adults 55 years or older, Fit For Life Fitness and Therapy Center joined the Stratford family. Soon Elliott Place took a sister role to Hidden Lake by offering 96 retirement apartments on the historic Elliott Shooting Park property.
" I've always been concerned for the needs of older people," said Stratford President Ken Blom. "From the beginning with Hidden Lake, we've wanted to keep abreast of issues facing older adults and provide them the best options for quality of life in the aging process."
And it seems Stratford backs up its promises. Recently purchasing the Truman Neurological Center near the Lakewood community, Stratford plans to transform it into a facility for the care of people diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease.
No doubt the Raytown community has reaped great benefits from the vision of Stratford Development Corporation. Starting with a luxurious care center south of the Blue Ridge Mall, Stratford may just make this area a bulwark in the continuing care industry.
In the meantime...Happy Birthday Hidden Lake for 10 great years!
